Bindrune for Self-Love 2023

A year ago, I made this bindrune kind of a whim. I was thinking about making a post and figured it’s close to Valentines day, why not make a bindrune for self-love. And it is still to date, my most popular post on my Instagram account. I have had countless people get it tattooed, worked with it in fiber arts, makeup arts, journals, bags, stickers on my RedBubble page and more. I have had so many people reach out to me about how my words about the importance of self-love had touched them so deeply and helped them to heal and give themselves that incredible gift of self-love. The impact of this bindrune has become so much more than I could have ever imaged when I posted it a year ago and I continue to be so grateful that it continues to help so many people.

I decided to add to this original design just to help it continue to keep doing what is has been doing all this time, but keep expanding that divine love. I didn’t want to change too much because of how much it meant to those who have worked with it before, I only wanted to expand upon my original bindrune to help it continue to expand the hearts of all those that worked with it before.

I also wanted to include my original words of my first post because re-reading it again myself, it was simple but so heartfelt, it honestly touched me as well. This bindrune has personally affected me so much and I am so grateful to share this with you again.

“Something I wish someone had told me when I was younger is that the key to self love is acceptance, compassion, and kindness.
We are so hard on ourselves. We fear making mistakes because of how people have used our past mistakes to hurt us. So we instead tell ourselves that we can never make mistakes or hate ourselves when inevitably do. We are told how our bodies aren't good enough if we have fat, folds, scars, stretch marks, are different colors, too skinny, not strong enough, too many muscles... we've all heard it before and we internalize the rejection wishing we were born with different bodies.
There is so much I could say on this subject working with so many Goddesses of Love who have all come to me to help me find self love and personal power. Freyja isn't just a goddess of love and beauty, she is the queen of the Valkyries, Seiđkona, magic keeper, doula of life, doula of death, but her power comes from love. Self-love gives us the confidence and personal power to make our dreams a reality. Self-Love makes us unstoppable.
But Self-Love is a skill like anything else. It isn't a light switch where one day we just start loving ourselves. It takes time and patience, again, compassion.”
