July 2023 Wyrd Wanderings

Once a month we gather to deepen our connection to the Runes, sing with the ancestors, and seek their knowledge to empower our paths. This month we pulled the runes Chalc - Rune of the Chalice, Mannaz - Rune of Man, and Ansuz - Rune of Odin the Wanderer. Together these runes have taught me a lot in this last week about community, allowing those who are willing to assist us, and how deeply connected so many of us are.

I had originally set my intentions high for focus to complete a number of different projects, manifesting big things and more work, work, work, like I always do! And immediately the universe’s message was, slow down, don’t rush things, trust in divine timing. Something I am definitely getting better and better at. So I didn’t rush getting this bindrune done. I didn’t rush the projects I wanted to get finished. I took some time off to visit friends. And I saw so many circles connect and remind me just how small of a world it really is out there.

Mannaz as the rune of man is often seen as the rune of the individual, the rune of “man” but it is far more deeply connected with community and how we as an individual, fit into our different groups and communities. We all have different skills, knowledge, wisdom from this life and previous ones as well. It’s why humans have been as successful as we have been. Because of our ability to work together.
