New Year - New Blog!

Surprise! I am starting off 2023 with something I have been wanting to do for a long time! Start my own blog!

Full disclosure, what drove me to finally decide to start my own blog was to help protect my art. Last year, someone stole one of my pieces and put it on a mask with the intention to sell it. When I tried talking to them and give them the benefit of the doubt (maybe they didn’t realize it was an original piece and not a ancient bindrune found on some rock out in a sheep field in the UK somewhere) they immediately got defensive and although they said they would take it down, they also immediately blocked me. And just like I suspected, they waited what they thought was long enough then they put that mask right back up on their page again with the intention to sell it. Thankfully, I had others keep an eye out on them for that exact reason because they were not so subtle about their true intentions, blocking someone right after saying you’ll play nice.

So then I tried to report the instance to Instagram and found out real quick that like with many other artists, they do literally nothing to stop someone from stealing your art. Within minutes of me reporting the instance, I got an automated response saying that they had “looked into it” and could find no evidence that my art was in fact my own. But if I could provide them links or other evidence to prove it is my art, then they would take it down. After much research I discovered that if my art is posted on my own website that is connected to both my business and my legal name, that would qualify as “evidence” to Instagram.

So, to once again, protect my art, I decided to finally take the time to start posting them here in my official Raven Wisdom by Stephanie Ingersoll blog! It does give me the opportunity to go into full details about my bindrunes that I am unable to do on my Instagram account because of their character limit they don’t tell you about until you go to post it. My intention for my Instagram account always was to treat it like my gallery of my art back before I had a website. But things are different now. And because Instagram does very little to help protect their users from art/ content theft, spam/ fake accounts, scammers in DMs, and more, I am unfortunately unable to treat it the same way like I have had in the past.

But! This blog will not just be me reposting my art that I normally post on Instagram. I actually have a lot to say and a lot to share that I have always wanted to do on my Insta, but didn’t want to change the focus on my page too far away from my art. There are a lot of people who I follow who suddenly decide to change the direction of their page and or start sharing other things I didn’t follow them for and depending on how drastic the changes are, I will unfollow them. It is wonderful that people are excited about their kids and all of the awesome things going on in their personal lives, but I followed them to see their art, not their kids with food all over their faces. So, to maintain the direction of my page and still be able to expand, I decided to just do it here and cross share it to my other platforms for those who might be interested. Most influencers would say that that’s a terrible idea, but I am not an influencer, I am a reader, healer, priestess, seidkona, and spiritual leader. My goals are not to get a million followers, it is to help my clients and followers find healing, spiritual connection, and peace. So I would love to see where this takes me and how many of you lovely people are down for an old fashioned blog.

Like I said, there are a lot of things I have always wanted to share and talk about but have never taken the time to do so. Expect posts about Numerology, Astrology, Spiritual Messages, Ancestors, I-Ching, Chinese Astrology, and of course Runes! Like I said, far too eclectic for my Insta, but perfect for my own little space here on the internet. If there is anything you would like to hear me talk about, feel free to leave a comment below or contact me through my website. Know that I also run a business full time with a full schedule of clients and commissions, so if I am not able to post here as much as I would like, know that it’s usually because I am busy.
